Dr. Ilona Nemeth
Dr. Ilona Nemeth is a licensed clinical psychologist providing therapy and psychological testing in the Kansas City area, along with telehealth services throughout Kansas and Missouri. She specializes in trauma and complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, identity concerns, women’s mental health, serious mental illness, and adjustment to major life or medical changes.
Maybe you feel stuck in patterns you cannot fully explain. Past experiences may be affecting your current relationships, or you may feel disconnected from yourself and uncertain about what you truly want. You might be navigating trauma, a major transition, cultural or identity concerns, or the emotional impact of illness or disability. You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. Sometimes, curiosity and the feeling that life could be different are enough to get started.
Trauma Therapy, Anxiety Treatment, and Support Through Life Changes
Therapy with Dr. Nemeth is warm, collaborative, and insight-oriented. She creates a nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore not only what they are experiencing, but also the relationships, experiences, and underlying patterns that may be contributing to it. Rather than placing clients into a predetermined category or using the same treatment plan for everyone, Dr. Nemeth considers the whole person. Her approach recognizes the biological, psychological, social, cultural, relational, and spiritual factors that influence mental health.
